Bilskirnir is Thor’s ship, which made its debut in the Stargate SG-1 season 2 episode ‘Thor’s Chariot’, when it saved SG-1 from the Goa’uld. Bilskirnir was an incredibly powerful Asgard mother ship with advanced transporter systems, engines that could cover intergalactic distances in hours, and an ion gun that could obliterate a Goa’uld Hat’tak ship.

These vast ships resembled giant, spaceborne pyramids and were equipped with fearsome firepower. After the fall of the Goa'uld they were operated by the Free Jaffa.

In Norse mythology 'Bilskirnir' refers to Thor’s hall, where he lived with his wife Sif and their children.
